Nicole Nicolaou, who was internally selected to represent her country at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, has filmed the music video for her entry. The JESC team from Cyprus confirmed on Facebook, that they finished filming for Nicole’s entry “I Wanna Be A Star”.
The director of the music video is George Gavalos and Demetris Katsaitis is director of photography. Both came from Greece to support this year’s entry from Cyprus. The material gets edited now before its release in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned and follow ESCXTRA to not miss the premiere.
“I Wanna Be A Star” is expected to be released to the public during October. The composer of the entry is not unknown to the Eurovision fans. Constantinos Christoforou represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996, 2002 & 2005. His best result was coming sixth in 2002 with the boy band One. Meanwhile, he was the spokesperson for Greece in the past two editions of the Eurovision Song Contest. Antigoni Tasouri is the stage director for the performance in Tbilisi. She owns a dance company and worked in the dance industry for the past 22 years. She already worked with many professional singers and actors and also lived in the UK for three years to study.
Cyprus in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Cyprus was part of the very first JESC back in 2003 and was part of it eight times. In 2005 they withdrew from the competition, as their entry appeared to be a plagiarism. The best results so far are two 8th places in 2004 & 2006.
