Battle of the Stars; Backstreet’s back…and gone again!

The hunt for Norway’s next Ultimate Entertainer is past the halfway mark, and last night was blues night. As we reported yesterday, it seemed the four remaining guys, Aleksander, Didrik, Gaute and Adam, were gonna treat us to a proper boyband superhit, and did they ever! 

Everybody

It wasn’t however “I Want It That Way”, as we suspected. Rather they gave us a well choreographed performance of “Everybody”. Which of them do you think would fit the best into a boyband? Visually we think they all have what it takes…

Aleksander voted off

Most weeks sincethe start of the season, Aleksander has been in the bottom three, thus being eligible for getting voted off. Until last night he’d managed to convince the judges to keep him on. During Blues Night, however, he reached journey’s end and was the one  who had to go home.

Didrik is our only remaining Eurovision hope

We are now down to just one Eurovision artist in Battle of the Stars 2017, since last week saw Benedicte Adrian’s departure. Didrik Solli Tangen is our only remaining hope! Both Maria Haukaas Storeng and Knut Anders Sørum won in their seasons, and it would be nice if our Eurovision alumni keep deliviering! We do of course also have former MGP participant Gaute Ormåsen still in the running. Didrik sailed through last night, after giving us U2’s “When Love Comes to Town“.

Hardrock and acoustic

Next week we’ll hear the remaining competitors try their hand, or rather their voice, at two very different genres; hardrock and acoustic.
