Festival da Canção 2018: Find out who is competing in which semi-final!

Earlier today (October 25th), a draw took place in Lisbon to determine in which semi-final each of the 26 composers would compete in. This has taken us one step closer to finding out who will represent Portugal and therefore be the host entry at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest!

Selections from multiple sources

Last month, RTP revealed the names of the 26 composers who would be participating in Festival da Canção 2018. 22 of the 26 composers were invited by RTP themselves. Two further composers were then chosen via a public submissions process. One was chosen through the programme Master Class, aired on Antena 1. Finally, the last composer was invited by Salvador Sobral himself, the winner of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest for Portugal.

Ryan Cobb

My first memory of watching the Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2001 and, over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for the contest has very much turned into an obsession. I adore music and I love geography, so this contest is a natural fit for me. If la la loving Eurovision was a crime, I'd certainly be a criminal!
