It’s been a busy week for Saara Aalto, twice runner-up in the Finnish national selection for Eurovision as well as taking the silver medal in last year’s season of The X Factor UK. Saara has revealed that she has quit the recording contract she signed with Sony following the conclusion of last year’s The X Factor. However, she has now signed a global deal with Warner. Now, she is preparing for the release of new music!
“A big theatrical artist”
A couple of days ago, Saara revealed exclusively to The Sun that she had left her contract at Sony, the company that Simon Cowell’s Syco label is a part of. Instead, she felt her destiny was with the Warner Music Group who are keen to embrace Saara’s theatrical side in her music and performance.
“I was honoured I was signed to Sony. But later I felt like they weren’t the right team. When I met the people at Warner they were very excited about my style and making me into this big theatrical artist.”
Still part of the Sony family
Nevertheless, Saara insists there is no “bad blood” between her, Simon Cowell and Sony. “I’m doing X Factor Finland, so I’m still part of the Sony family.” Of course, Saara is referring to the very exciting news that she will be on the judging panel for next year’s relaunch of The X Factor Suomi. Saara explained her record label move, as well as show us her talent for languages which we all know and love during an interview with Christine Lampard on ITV talk show Lorraine.
A special music announcement is on its way!
Indeed, she was so excited to be singing Let It Go on Lorraine that she forgot to make one very important announcement! Thankfully, Saara later posted that very announcement on Facebook. In less than two weeks time, Saara has a very special music announcement for us. A new single? A new album? Perhaps a new music video? We can’t wait to find out!
