ERT narrows down applicants and reveals experts panel

This week the committee who is responsible for the Greek entry first met at ERT. They will work together with music labels and artists to select the entry for the 63rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.  Afterwards, the committee agreed to meet again next Monday. It is expected that at this meeting the artists will sing the songs they chose as their favorite song to sing in the contest. Moreover, an official announcement could follow in the near future.

The 8-member jury consists of the following:

• Symeonidis Anastasios (President, Conductor)
• Dourdoubakis Petros (Songwriter, Broadcaster)
• Ktistakis Dimitris (Managers)
• Kostas Alexis
• Messina Michalis (Composer)
• Pyrarinos Andreas (Managers)
• Spyropoulos Bach Giannis (Orchestra)
• Tsaras Pantazis (radio producer)

At least 16 artists are involved and will be reviewed by the jury. These artists come from the following record labels:

The ERT road so far:

Last month we wrote about ERT asking record companies to submit entries for the national selection. Despite being interested in competing and for being a huge fan favorite, Elena Foureira won’t be considered by ERT. Therefore, the next weeks will keep being interesting.
