DJ Mendez returns to Melodifestiavalen with a Latin influenced song

Mendez has participated twice in Melodifestivalen ending up in 2nd place in 2002 with “Adrenaline” and then again in 2003 with “Carnaval” ending up 5th in second chance round, hence missing out the Melodifestivalen final. Both songs were also covered by the Russian king of showbiz, Philipp Kirkorov.
Several sources to Aftonbladet’s entertainment magazine Nöjesbladet, has confirmed that he is ready for the competition. A strong contributing factor is the new wave of success for music with Latin influences such as the megahit “Despacito”.
