Melodifestivalen 2018 rumours in full swing
In the recent weeks, rumours have been in full swing, as to who will be competing in Melodifestivalen 2018.
First on the list of rumours are Samir & Viktor who have competed twice in 2015 and 2016. Would a third time be a charm for the duo? Also rumoured to be participating next year, is breakthrough star Benjamin Ingrosso after finishing a respectable fifth place in 2017. Also in the rumour mill is a possible return for Alcazar who competed last in 2014 with their song “Blame It on the Disco” and placed third overall.
Next Tuesday we’ll find out who of these rumoured acts will in fact be on the list SVT will release. The press conference will be available to watch through SVT’s website and we’ll keep you updated, as well as attend the event live in Sweden.
Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017
Robin Bengtsson represented Sweden with his song “I Can’t Go On”. In addition to qualifying for the Grand Final, ‘I Can’t Go On” gave Sweden its fourth consecutive top-five result, reaching a fifth place in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv.
Melodifestivalen 2018 will begin its search for their representative on February 3 at Karlstad. With the Finalen of the competition taking place on March 10 at Friends Arena. The show will be solely hosted by David Lindgren, who hosted the 2017 Melodifestivalen along with Clara Henry and Hasse Andersson.
Who do you think should compete in Melodifestivalen?. Why not look at who we think should compete in next year’s competition.
