Tbilisi 2017

Junior Eurovision 2017 dress rehearsal and jury final wrap up!

It has been a long day at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest!
First thing this morning we had the Dress Rehearsal. A final chance to make last minute adjustments and fix any lingering problems. All countries performed what they needed to make themselves feel completely comfortable! Then there was a 7-hour gap!

Exploring Tbilisi

Ryan and I took the chance to get to explore slightly more of Tbilisi than just our hotel rooms, the press centre and the fancy bar we have been frequenting. We saw the local architecture in the Old Town that went from seemingly ancient one minute to ultra-modern the next!
Then it was time for the all-important jury final! What a ride it was! All the performers really were shining bright! The kids were eating up the stage and delivering performances of their lives! After what must have been a big day it is amazing that they can pull it together.
A slight technical hitch saw a small pause in the show, just before Mariana from Portugal’s performance. This slight hitch saw Belarus and Armenia perform for the second time, and to be fair if we hadn’t have been here watching every rehearsal we wouldn’t have seen the difference. These kids are complete professionals.

Fake news alert!

So, as always, there is fake voting at the end of the show and for this year’s jury final the fake winner is… drumroll… PORTUGAL!
Tomorrow is the big day though! Who will take home the trophy this year?! We’ll be here ready to go and give you all the latest! Don’t forget the power is in your hands! Don’t forget to VOTE at vote.junioreurovision.tv.
