First artist for Eurovision 2024: it’s Mustii for Belgium!

We have our first artist for Eurovision 2024! Broadcaster RTBF announced this morning that singer-songwriter Mustii will represent Belgium in Malmö next year, following an internal selection process.

Who is Mustii?

Thomas Mustin, known professionally as Mustii, is 32 years old and hails from Brussels. Beside singing, he is also known as a songwriter, composer and actor. He studied theatre in Louvain-la-Neuve and started working immediately after his studies. He has acted in television shows, in films, and live on stage. We’ve seen him in – among others – the RTBF series La trêve, which can be seen on Netflix worldwide, and on stage as Hamlet, under the direction of Emmanuel Dekoninck. In addition, Thomas is one of the judges on Drag Race Belgique.

As a solo artist, Mustii has already released two albums, 21st Century Boy (2018) and It’s Happening Now (2022), which both reached top five positions in the Belgian album charts. He has performed for a sold out Ancienne Belgique three separate times – arguably Belgium’s most iconic pop venue. Next year, Mustii will release a new album, which will certainly contain his Eurovision track.

What’s next

Mustii is known for his fragile yet powerful voice, and his captivating pop songs: just listen to his most recent single “Skyline” below. More news on his song for Eurovision 2024 will be communicated later. He will follow up Gustaph, who reached 7th place in Liverpool this year with a total of 182 points. Belgium has won the contest only once, in 1986, with Sandra Kim.
