🇷🇸 Serbia: Hurricane release English version of “Hasta La Vista”

For those keeping count, this is the FORTH version of the song to be released

Back in February, Hurricane were crowned champions of Beovizija 2020 with a landslide victory. Ahead of their eventual win, the trio already went ahead and revamped their original entry, releasing a music video for the track. Last month, the band have released the teased final version, despite the contest’s cancellation.

Following their win, and news that the song and performance would continue to undergo changes before the contest, there was speculation that the song could be performed in English at the contest. They later confirmed the song would not be translated for Eurovision. However, it wasn’t known whether an English version would be recorded.

Despite the contest itself not going ahead, the band released the final version for the song last month. And now, determined to give their fans even more content, we have been blessed with an English version of the song.

You can listen to this new version below:

About Hurricane

Hurricane are a Serbian girl band that was formed by Zoran Milinković in 2017. The trio consists of Ivana Nikolić, Ksenija Knežević and Sanja Vučić. Ksenija has previously appeared on the Eurovision stage as a backing vocalist for her father, Knez. Knez represented Montenegro in Vienna and placed 13th in the final.

Eurovision fans will also know Sanja Vučić, who represented Serbia in the 2016 contest with the song “Goodbye (Shelter)“. The song finished 18th in the grand final.

The group have become one of the biggest emerging pop acts in Serbia over the past couple of years. The music video for their song “Favorito” has reached over 51 million views on YouTube in just six months.

Back in December, we reported that they were among the rumoured artists to be taking place in Beovizija 2020, which proved to be true. Earlier this year, they won the selection with almost 20,000 votes in a landslide victory. It is currently unknown whether the group will be performing at Eurovision 2021, but we expect RTS to confirm their intentions for the next contest once the pandemic ends.
