Lisbon 2018

BREAKING: Australian 2018 artist announced!

The moment has come! We know who will be following in Isaiah and Dami’s footsteps!

The Australian Eurovision Song Contest representitive 2018 is….

Jessica Mauboy!

Can I get a Moment?  to tell you who is making a triumphant return to the competition Jessica Mauboy will be Australia’s 2018 representative! Time to Pop a Bottle! Showing Europe what Australia had when she was an half time act in Copenhagen 2014, now it’s time for Jessica to show everyone what she is really capable of and compete for Australia in Lisbon!

Rising  to fame in during the fourth season of Australian Idol, Mauboy has been a staple of the Australian entertainment industry since! Having now appeared in, Eurovision, the blockbuster movie/musical ‘The Sapphires’ and continuing her singing and acting careers – there can be no doubt that she is ready for this moment and is a fantastic choice, furthering SBS’s commitment to representing the diversity present in Australia. If This Ain’t Love I don’t know what is!

Earlier in the week we saw Ricki Lee Coulter’s social media accounts all start following various Eurovision social media’s (all the big ones) and the rumor mill started, but this was the red herring the Eurovision community needed to get talking!

So what do you think of the choice? Are you All Aboard the Australian ship on this Sea of Flags?
