Rehearsal review

Rehearsing today for Ukraine inside La Seine Musicale is Olena Usenko, performing “Vazhil”. As the first rehearsals are closed to the press, this review is based upon content made public by the EBU and France Télévisions.

Ukraine’s choice is to focus on Olena’s voice and personality. She is performing alone using a mic stand or walking on the stage. The whole concept colours are black and orange. A lot of lighting is used, the background images are featuring flames and fire rain. At some point they are off so there’s only one light focusing on Olena at the darkened stage.

Olena seems confident on stage and delivers very powerful vocals. She is wearing dark orange outfit with a black leather jacket above and black accessories. The performance looks already very emotional and impressive!
