Get ready for some new music! Back in 2019, Sarah McTernan represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv with “22”. Now, she is teaming up with electronic production duo HalfTraxx on a brand new track “Loving You”, due for release on February 5th.

Looking back to Tel Aviv
In March 2019, RTÉ announced that they had internally selected McTernan to follow in the footsteps of Ryan O’Shaughnessy who had achieved a fantastic mid-table finish in the grand final in Lisbon the previous year. Her retro-pop song “22” was accompanied by a memorable and eye-catching American diner-styled performance in Tel Aviv.
Asked by ilovelimerick.ie about her Eurovision experience, Sarah looked back extremely fondly on the competition:
It was amazing. I always had that as a goal and how bloody lucky am I to have that goal crossed off my list. I feel blessed for the people that I got to work with and the friends I made on that incredible journey. Genuinely made life friends from across the globe. It was the craziest moment when I was standing on that stage and the stage manager counted down from 5. I could hear my heartbeat, breathe, I don’t even know what I was thinking something took over me. It was exhilarating.
