But not just Eurovision was a big thing in the Google search. Even some national selections made the list of the Top 10 TV programs of the year. Melodifestivalen in Sweden, EMA in Slovenia, Eesti Laul in Estonia, Festival da Canção in Portugal and Sanremo in Italy were successful.

In the past years many Eurovision winners and competing artists made the list in other countries. No this year. However, Eurovision winner Salvador Sobral was the most searched term of the year in Portugal. He also topped the list of most searched national personalities, with his sister Luisa Sobral being at No. 3 of the list.
Nevertheless, Blanche, Omar Naber, Kristian Kostov and Francesco Gabbani also made an impact in the trends of their countries.

Dominik Rössing

Hey, I'm Dominik from Germany. Watched my first Eurovision in 2003 and I was in love right away! Attended my first contest in 2011 and every contest since 2013. The same happened with Melodifestivalen. Started watching in 2006 and been to every final since 2017 and try to make it to at least one heat each year, too. After all, Melodifestivalen is the real deal ♥
