This morning the German broadcaster NDR revealed the acts for the German national selection “Unser Lied Für Lissabon”. After 4000 people who entered the competition, 100 members of the Eurovision-Panel and 20 members of the international expert jury found the final six acts for the national selection which will take place in Berlin on February 22nd!

Xavier Darcy: Xavier is 22 and from Munich. This year he released his debut album “Darcy” which made it into the Top 50 of the German iTunes charts. He had performances at several festivals and was supporting act for artists like Rea Garvey and Joris.
Ryk: His real name is Rick Jurthe and he is 28. He studied music, theatre and media in Hannover. Since his graduation, he works as a composer, singer and producer for several projects. Since 2016 he is in charge of the music for the acrobatic show “Feuerwerk der Turnkunst”. He won several awards as best new act and performed on several, also international, festivals.
Ivy Quainoo: Ivy is 25 and from Berlin. She won the first season of “The Voice Of Germany” back in 2012. Her debut album achieved gold status in Germany and she won an Echo for “Best female artist rock/pop national” in 2013. Since 2015 she lives in New York and studies at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Michael Schulte: Michael is 27 and became popular from publishing videos on YouTube. His channel has more than 50 million views and more than 200.000 subscribers. Many of his 1.2 million streams on Spotify each month are coming from Sweden, Norway, the UK and the USA. Michael already released seven albums and EPs.
Natia Todua: Natia is 21 and came from Georgia to Germany to achieve her dream of living as a musician. She recently won the latest season of “The Voice Of Germany” earlier this month and is currently on tour with the Top acts of the past season.
voXXclub: The band from Munich has five members from three different countries. voXXclub mixes traditional with modern sounds and add some groovy beats and sounds. Their videos are popular on YouTube. Their debut album achieved platinum status and they were already nominated for three Echos. Last year they released their third album.
The next step: Looking for the perfect songs!
During a three-day songwriting camp, up to 15 national and international writer, composer and producer will work together with the six acts for “Unser Lied Für Lissabon”. Based on this material every act will get the song for the German national final.
