Liverpool 2023🇱🇹 Lithuania

Rūta MUR wins first Pabandom iš naujo! heat in Lithuania

Gabrielius Vagelis follows, with Aistė Pilvelytė the shock non-qualifier

Lithuania has chosen the first ten semifinalists of Pabandom iš naujo!. Rūta MUR swept up the top score from both the juries and the televoters, meaning she topped the vote last night. Just five acts were eliminated.

Rūta MUR with a landslide

Dressed in all white, with a white Western hat and suit, Rūta MUR became the clear winner of Heat 1 in Lithuania. With some fans commenting the singer sounds like Alison Moyet, you know what to expect from the songstress. Following “So Low”, we see Gabrielius Vagelis. His song “Šauksmas” got just 100 televotes less than Rūta MUR. With that, the pair was miles ahead of the competition.

More shockingly, the ultimate veteran when it comes to Lithuanian Eurovision national finals failed to qualify. Aistė Pilvelytė gathered just two jury points. With zero points from the televoting, she has now been eliminated from the competition.

Take a look at the full results below! Behind each televote score, you can see the amount of televotes received by each act.
