
The Belorussian National Broadcaster, BTRC, has revealed that the final evening of their national selection, Eurofest 2018, will take place on the 16th of February.
The preparations for the final evening of the festival are under full steam ahead. Soon enough, the 11 finalists will shoot the promo videos which will be featured prior to them performing their entries on the night. On Tuesday, a draw will be held to help determine the running order of the final.
Eurofest 2018
The national final will see both Teo and Olga Ryzhikova as hosts. The winner will be determined through a combination of 50% jury vote and 50% public vote. However, in case of a tie the jury vote will take preference over the public vote.
The eleven acts who will take part in the Belarussian final are, in alphabetical order:

- Alekseev – Forever
- Alen Hit – I Don’t Care
- Anastasiya Malashkevich – World on Fire
- Gunesh – I Won’t Cry
- Kirill Gud – Deja Vu
- Lexy – Ain’t You
- NAPOLI – Chasing Rushes
- Radiovolna – Subway Lines
- Shuma – Kmarki (Clouds)
- Sofi Lapina – Gravity
Belarus at Eurovision
Belarus has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest fourteen times since making its debut in 2004.
Ever since their debut, Belarus has managed to qualify for the final five times out of fourteen occasions. Achieving their greatest result to date in 2007 with “Work Your Magic”, sung by Koldun. To date, it’s their only top ten result.
Last year Naviband represented Belarus with their folkloric happy clappy song “Historyja majho žyccia”. They qualified for the Grand Final and then achieved seventeenth place with 83 points in the final. The duo was the first act from Belarus to actually sing their entry entirely in Belarusian.
