TRM have revealed the participants of O Melodie Pentru Europa 2018. They have selected 28 acts who will fight for the Moldovan ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon.
From Sasha Bogbinov to DoReDos
As we’re used to from Moldova, the pack is filled with familiar faces. Long time participants are once again returning to the competition. Doinița Gherman, DoReDos, Sasha Bogbinov and Felicia Dunaf have all previously attempted to represent their country at the Eurovision Song Contest. However, none of them have ever managed to win O Melodie Pentru Europa… yet.
The 28 songs listed by TRM are the only submissions they’ve received. The submission window closed today and at the end of submission, these were the only acts submitting an entry. Seems coming third hasn’t done much in terms of eagerness to submit for O Melodie Pentru Europa! It has to be noted that the Moldovan jury will select a certain amount of participants from the list below for the liveshow. Not all 28 will make it through.
Below you can find the list of acts:
- Sasha Bogbinov – Love

Languages galore
Judging from the list of 28 above, it looks like we’re in for a true language party in Moldova. Of course, there are plenty of songs in English, as well as a few in Moldova’s native language. However, it also looks like three other languages are making appearance. Just look at Marina’s “Bianco e Nero”, Nicoleta’s “Esencia del Sur” or Dima’s “Ona Moja”… Italian, Spanish and Russian right there.
Building on a high
Moldova are on a high after scoring their best ever result last year in Kyiv. SunStroke Project managed to finish in third place with “Hey Mamma”, defying all pre-contest odds. This year, DoReDoS look like the favourite, after it had been announced by Philip Kirkorov and Dimitris Kontopoulos that they would team up for O Melodie Pentru Europa 2018.
