For several weeks, the Eurovision community has been speculations as to who the so-called “Dream Team” will be working with for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. Finally, it seems that we know the answer. According to Infe Greece, DoReDos will enter Moldova’s O melodie pentru Europa with the Philipp Kirkorov-composed track My Lucky Day.
A winning combination?
While one of the strongest rumours gravitated towards Kirkorov and Kontopoulos writing a song for Azerbaijan’s 2018 participant Aisel, it now seems this rumour was false. DoReDoS, formed of Marina Djundiet, Eugeniu Andrianov and Sergiu Mita, are regular participants in O melodie pentru Europa but are yet to win the competition.
The entries for the 2018 edition of Moldova’s national selection O melodie pentru Europa are scheduled to be released on January 16th via the TRM website. Up to 35 entries will participate in the live auditions phase. Then, 16 entries will qualify for the semi-final on February 22nd. Finally, the top 10 semi-finalists will take part in the final on February 24th.
DoReDoS most recently competed in the 2016 selection. Their entry FunnyFolk finished in 4th place. It was Lidia Isac who won the ticket to Eurovision that year with Falling Stars.

The “Dream Team” saga reaches its conclusion?
In regards to the long-running “Dream Team” saga, the speculation began in November when Phillip Kirkorov took to Instagram to wish Dimitris Kontopoulos a happy birthday. He also said that he looked forward to working as part of the “Dream Team” to work on an entry for the 2018 contest.
His choice to collaborate with Moldova shouldn’t be unexpected according to Infe Greece. Indeed, current Moldovan president Igor Dodon is considered to belong to the “Russian sphere of influence”. It remains to be seen if the entire “Dream Team” have reunited for My Lucky Day.
