Jahméne eyeing Eurovision participation?

ΞFormer X Factor runner-up Jahméne seems to be eyeing a Eurovision participation. The British singer stated he thinks it would be a great experience for him. He’s asked his Twitter followers for their opinion.

Jahméne for Eurovision?

The 27 year old singer says he heard rumours about him trying for Eurovision for many years now. When he started thinking about it, he realised he wasn’t sure it would be the right stage for him. However, now he thinks it could be great fun to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest.

He says he hasn’t applied to represent his country just yet. Instead, he has now asked his Twitter followers whether he should at least apply. His Twitter followers seem to give him a clear answer. Approximately 80% of all people who have voted feel it would be a good idea for the gospel and soul singer to apply.

Sad news for Jahméne is that he might be too late for 2018… Eurovision: You Decide, the UK’s national final for Lisbon, is going to take place rather soon, on 7th February. Maybe the United Kingdom would accept a last minute bid from Jahméne?

From X Factor to gospel

Jahméne auditioned for the ninth series of X Factor back in 2012. He impressed the juries with his rendition of Etta James’s “At Last”. He fought his way all the way up to the final, where he finished in second place.

After signing a deal with Sony Music, he released his first album. His second album came in 2016. After cancelling the deal with Sony, he moved to Moonshot Music. In his second album, his Christian faith took a prominent role. For example, Samuel L. Jackson read some Bible verses on one of the tracks.
