TRM publishes 28 O Melodie Pentru Europa hopefuls on YouTube

Just a few days after telling us which 28 acts have sent an entry to them, TRM have now published all entries on their YouTube channel. The O Melodie Pentru Europa hopefuls will still need to go through a selection process.

O Melodie Pentru Europa: The songs

Some of these songs, we had already heard. Sasha Bognibov is usually one of the first acts to announce his song for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest and this year is no exception. His song “Love” first appeared on his YouTube channel on 29th October last year.

The act getting most attention at the moment is DoReDoS. The group have entered the competition with an entry penned by Philip Kirkorov and John Ballard. They have gathered by far the most international attention. A good sign for the longtime hopefuls?

Below, you can find the list of all acts taking part. The entries can all be found on TRM’s YouTube channel, which you can access by clicking here.

The next steps

The semifinal of O Melodie Pentru Europa 2018 has been scheduled for 22nd February. The final will then take place just two days later, on what promises to be a true Super Saturday. On 24th February, five finals will be taking place across Europe, as well as a semifinal in Sweden.

The TRM selection committee wil now go on to select the entries to take part in the semifinal. They have not specified a number of acts that needs to participate. Perhaps they’ll just ask all 28 to be there?
