Saara Aalto: “We called the Eurovision organizers to see what we can do on stage”

In an interview with Finnish tabloid, Saara Aalto revealed that they have called the Eurovision organizers asking what they can do on the stage. She also finished shooting the music videos this week in Oslo.

Big plans

During The X Factor, we saw Saara having big performances with lots of dancers and props. It seems that she has big plans for Eurovision too.

We have been calling the Eurovision organizers and asked if we can do this. We have big plans, but it (having only 30 seconds time to set up everything) gives us some limits unfortunately.

Saara also said that she is very excited to finally get some new music out. She said that she has recorded over sixty songs over the past year and the best three have been selected for Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2018.

Music videos done

Last week Saara revealed on her Instagram that the music videos for her three entries were filmed in Oslo. Yesterday she posted a picture with caption “Music videos DONE!”.

Finland in Eurovision Song Contest

For the first time ever, Finland had an internal selection and chose Saara Aalto as their representative for Eurovision Song Contest 2018. She will perform three songs at the final of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) 2018 and international jury together with Finnish televoters will choose the winner.
Finland has failed to qualify to the final three years in a row. Last time they were in the final in 2014, when Softengine placed 11th with “Something Better”.

I started watching Eurovision back in 2006, when I was only 10 and couldn't stay up to see Lordi winning. I attended my first contest in 2013 in Malmö. I'm studying journalism and I love music — you will probably never see me without my headphones on.
