🇪🇸 Melani García revealed as 2020 Junior Eurovision spokesperson for Spain

RTVE has revealed that Melani García will announce the Spanish jury votes for this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Melani represented Spain last year with her song ‘Marte’. The country returned to the contest in 2019 after being absent since 2006.

In light of being selected as the Spanish spokesperson, she comments:

‘I am very touched and grateful. I am very excited because I love Eurovision.

When I was younger, I used to pretend I was giving the points out from each country.

It will be magical to return to Junior Eurovision, in one way or another.’

This year sees Soleá take to the stage for Spain. Melani says on the 2020 representative:

‘I think ‘Palante’ is very fun and happy. Soleá is very excited. I am sure we will get a good result on 29 November.’

Spanish jury revealed

In addition to the spokesperson announcement, RTVE revealed the adult members of the Spanish jury. They consist of:

  • Lola González (Choreographer)
  • Emilio Mercader (Producer who has worked with the likes of Pastora Soler)
  • Jaime Terrón (Singer who was a jury member in Operación Triunfo 2011)

This year’s jury will also consist of two junior members, both of which have links to the music industry.

Soleá will be representing Spain with her song ‘Palante’. The song, which translates to ‘Move On’, was written by Bruno Valverde, Hajar Sbihi, and César G. Ross.
