Tonight: The second semi of Selecția Națională

After we got the first finalists during the semi last Sunday, tonight we will get the next artists who will make it to the final of Selecția Națională! Tonight’s second semi will take place in Timișoara.

One semi done, four more to come. Sixty artists compete in Romania this year. Those were split into five semi-finals. Tonight we will see 12 brand new songs, but only three will make it to the final on 25th February. The three winners will be decided by 100% jury voting.
These are the twelve acts for tonight’s second semi-final:

What’s happening tonight?

The semi tonight will be opened by Portuguese-born Ricardo Caria. He will perform last years winning entry to open the show. At the end of the show, he performs a song dedicated to this year’s host city Lisbon.
As interval acts, we’ll see Neda Ukraden, the best-sold Serbian artist, as well as Lavinia Răducanu and Timişoara’s rock band Cargo, who will perform their brand new song I call on you.
Selecția Națională will be hosted by Diana Dumitrescu and Cezar Ouatu, whilst this week’s green room correspondent will be Doriana Talpeș, a TVR Timișoara presenter.
