Lisbon 2018

Amaia and Alfred to represent Spain in Lisbon!

Just over three hours of show were necessary before we found out who will represent Spain in Lisbon. After two rounds of voting and a lot of chatting with contestants, jurors and invited guests, Amaia and Alfred, who arrived as favourites to win the show, eventually did take the crown getting almost half the votes in the super final.

Three songs in the super final

After the 9 entries were performed, we found out that three songs had made it to the superfinal. At that point, the lines were reopened and the counters reset. Three songs were fighting for the right to represent Spain in Lisbon.
Lo Malo by Aitana and Ana Guerra finished third. Arde by Aitana ended up as runner up. And Tu Canción by Amaia and Alfred, securing almost half of the votes, ended up as victors of the night.

Euroguests

The night also had Luisa Sobral, composer of the 2017 winning entry, as a juror and guest performer. Conchita Wurst also had a special appearance. In addition, Rosa López chatted in a special previous show, and Barei and Pastora Soler actively took to twitter to support the artists.

A love story made song and Eurovision entry

Amaia and Alfred crown like this a relationship that started forging during the first weeks of OT. They were immediately attracted to each other artistically which gave way to a romantic relationship. The song is almost a tribute to that. Their chemistry became obvious when they performed City of Stars and stole the hearts of Spain. And with Tu Canción they are singing to each other about each other. And now they will have the opportunity to sing it in front of the whole of Europe come May.
