Get your tickets to Café de Paris, Leicester Square, from Saturday, 10th February, for the London Eurovision Party 2018. If you’re wondering who’s going to be there, we can already promise you that our hosts with the most will return – yes, LEP LEGEND Nicki French is back alongside the always fantastic Paddy O’Connell for this year’s event. That’s not all, however. Today, we can confirm that our first act performing on the stage of our iconic West End venue is… Madame Monsieur from France!

Merci, merci, Madame Monsieur et bienvenue à Londres!

Following their victory in the Destination Eurovision final, in which their song “Mercy” received a staggering 28.1% of the public vote, Madame Monsieur have confirmed they will attend the London Eurovision Party this April.

Émilie Satt and Jean-Karl Lucas form a sincere and vibrant duo, a powerful contemporary creative unit, and we are delighted to welcome them to the Café de Paris in Leicester Square, London. “Mercy” tells the poignant story of a baby born aboard a boat crossing the Mediterranean Sea as the family flees war. The song is told from the point of view of the newborn child, named Mercy, and the story has resonated strongly with the French public since its release.

Our hosting duo return to the party once again

What’s another year? For our hosts, it’s nothing. Nicki French, who represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2000 with the entry “Don’t Play That Song Again”, and Paddy O’Connell, former Eurovision semi-final commentator for UK viewers, have hosted the party for the past X years and are well-loved by the fans at the event.
Organisers Kabir Naidoo and Russell Davies have stated their delight at the hosts returning again in 2018.
“Fans of the London Eurovision Party love it when Nicki takes to the stage to passionately perform a medley of hits, as well as Paddy’s humour in the way he introduces the acts and keeps the audience entertained throughout the show” said Russell Davies.
“It was a no brainer for us to invite them both back to reprise their hosting duties, as they are such an essential part in what make our event such a success every year” added Kabir Naidoo.
