The Voice winner Monika Marija Paulauskaitė to replace Erica Jennings on the fourth heat of Eurovizijos

Erica Jennings withdrew from Eurovizijos 2018 because of the “cringeworthy” jury. Her song is still in though, but the singer has been changed. The Voice winner Monika Marija Paulauskaitė will sing the song in the fourth heat.

Erica Jennings donates her song

Monika Marija won the latest edition of Lithuania’s The Voice. Her coach on the show was Donny Montell, who has represented the country twice in the contest.
Monika will song the song “The Truth”, which is written by Erica Jennings. Earlier this month Erica said that she doesn’t want to face a jury made up of “experts” who have no songwriting experience and therefore withdrew from the contest.

Erica Jennings took part in Eurovizijos in 2016 with “Leading Me Home”. She finished second in the final after Donny Montell.

Lithuania in Eurovision

Lithuania has taken part in Eurovision 18 times. Last year Fusedmarc represented Lithuania with “Rain of Revolution”. They failed to qualify, coming second to last with 42 points.
Lithuania’s best result is from 2006, when LT United finished sixth with “We Are the Winners” with 162 points.

I started watching Eurovision back in 2006, when I was only 10 and couldn't stay up to see Lordi winning. I attended my first contest in 2013 in Malmö. I'm studying journalism and I love music — you will probably never see me without my headphones on.
