Italy’s Sanremo 2018 duet guests have been announced

RAI, the broadcaster for Italy, have announced the 20 guest artists who will duet with the 20 artists on the fourth evening of the 2018 Sanremo Festival.
Sanremo Festival is used to choose Italy’s entry for Eurovision. The winner of the contest receives the right to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest, but has the option of refusing awarding it to the 2nd or 3rd place artist. The 20 artists announced by RAI will perform duets with the 20 competing artists of the festival. RAI have yet to reveal what songs will be performed in the duets.

This year’s Sanremo will begin on Tuesday 6th February, taking place over five days with the final taking place on Saturday 10th February. Last year, Francesco Gabbani won Sanremo 2017 and went on to represent Italy at Eurovision 2017 in Ukraine. Occidentali’s Karma finished sixth in Kyiv, despite being the big favourite to win.
