History was made

Kikki Danielsson, who has taken part in Melodifestivalen ten times, has always reached the final before. Tonight Kikki finished on the last place and therefore failed to qualify to the final or the andra chansen.
John Lundvik, who took the stage as the second artist, qualified to the final. This was the first time since 2011 when the song performed second qualified to the final.
