Earlier today, we brought to you the news that Kamferdrops’ entry into tonight’s Melodifestivalen semifinal has been available online for over eight years. The song available online was called only Solen lever kvar and was sung by Jonny Fagerman. Christer Björkman himself confirmed that the two songs are the same. You can read more about that in our previous article here. Now, the Swedish broadcaster SVT have confirmed that Solen lever kvar hos dig will not be disqualified.
They made the announcement over twitter, as you can see below:
The song 'Solen lever kvar hos dig', performed by Kamferdrops, will not be disqualified from tonight's #Melfest semi final. Aftonbladet reports that a demo version was available online. The Contest Producer: 'There has been no intent from the songwriters'. https://t.co/DkRBh4DVDn

The fans’ response
This means that Kamferdrops will still take part in tonight’s semifinal with her song Solen lever kvar hos dig. She will perform 6th, despite an overwhelming response from fans demanding that she is disqualified. Many fans believe that as Anna Book was disqualified in 2016, after it was found that her song competed in the 2015 Moldovan selection, that Kamferdrops should also have been disqualified.
However, SVT have decided to allow her to participate. It is yet to be seen how the fans will react to this news!
What do you think? Is it fair that Kamferdrops will still participate in tonight’s semifinal? Have SVT made the right decision?
