The second semifinal of Melodifestivalen 2018 took place tonight in Gothenburg. We got two more finalists, when Samir & Viktor and LIAMOO qualified to the final. Margaret and Mimi Werner are through to the andra chansen.

Ida Redig finished fifth
Ida Redig got through to the second round of voting, but finished fifth and just failed to reach the andra chansen. Stiko Per Larsson and Jonas Gardell were eliminated on the first round. It was also revealed that Stiko Per Larsson finished sixth on the semifinal, while Jonas Gardell finished on the last place.
Samir & Viktor were also the favourite of XTRA team. Our team placed Margaret second, closely followed by Mimi Werner. Tonight’s other winner, LIAMOO, placed only sixth.
Third time lucky for Samir & Viktor
Samir & Viktor finally managed to qualify direct to the final. The duo first took part in 2015 and they reached the final through the andra chansen. They finished eight in the final with “Groupie“.
They returned to the contest the year after with “Bada nakna”. Once again they got the second chance and qualified to the final from the andra chansen round. They finished last in the final.
