🇸🇮 Slovenia will not return to Junior Eurovision in 2021

They last participated back in 2015

Following their withdrawal in 2016, Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO has confirmed that they will not be returning to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2021. They join a string of countries who will not be taking part in the contest this December.

2021 will mark their 6th consecutive non-participation

The press department of the Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO has confirmed to Eurofestivals that they have ruled out participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2021.

Slovenia only participated in the Junior contest twice, between 2014 and 2015, before withdrawing in 2016. Despite this, they managed to score a third place finish in their final appearance with Lina Kuduzović’s “Prva ljubezen”. The broadcaster later cited the cost of participation as the reason behind their withdrawal.
