Lisbon 2018

Cesár Sampson, Sennek and Mikolas Josef shoot their Eurovision postcards

The ongoing preparations for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon are in full swing. RTP is certainly living up to the saying “Being early is being on time” and we already have three artists shooting their Eurovision postcards in Portugal.
The postcards are short video clips featured prior to the artists get on stage and showcase their talent. This year the slogan is “Welcome to Portugal”.
However, instead of taking  the classic tourism board commercial approach, RTP has upped their game and decided to create an interactive concept in which the artists are exploring the country.

Cesár’s adrenaline ride

Austria’s representative Cesár Sampson’s postcard features him riding through the picturesque village Monsanto located in the municipality of Idanha-a-Nova. This village has managed to keep its authenticity throughout history and was voted as the “Most Portuguese village in Portugal” in 1938.

Sennek is aboard

Belgium’s representative, Sennek’s postcard captures the essence of the Eurovision slogan “All Aboard” perfectly. Her postcard features the Port of Lisbon and the Tagus river as her backdrop.

Mikolas goes traditional

The Czech representative, Mikolas Josef is still in the process of shooting his postcard. Luckily, in the era of social media we are always able to keep up with our favorite Eurovision stars. Based on his latest Instagram post, Mikolas is currently filming in the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros in northeastern Portugal.
