Rehearsal review

Stage presentation

Vladana remains on the B-stage for the entire performance but has a satellite shaped attachment to the back of her costume. The circular device at first looks like it is a diamante encrusted fabric, along with the bodice, but in the second verse it lights up in a very classy, pulsing way. Vladana does not move a single step throughout the entire three minutes.

The camerawork makes this look dynamic and the close-ups are very effective with the pulsing lights behind her head. There is a language change to Italian for the middle eight and switches back to English for the final run-through. The screens in the background showcase multiple faces for the final chorus.

Costumes and styling

Vladana wears a beautiful royal blue gown, and the circular light-up fabric attaches to the back. She has small gems on her face around her eyes, which catch the lights well, along with a natural make-up look. There is one long dangly earring from her left ear which trails as far down as her shoulder.

Vocal quality

Her vocals are as impressive as you expect them to be, they’re consistent throughout this rehearsal today.

Overall impression

This is a really nice, comfortable rehearsal for Vladana and Montenegro. We didn’t expect the attachment to her back to light up, but it is a really very nice effect. The chances of this qualifying will depend entirely on how this looks back to back with Poland and Belgium in the full show, as we do have some questions about the light/shade variation that there may not be in this run.
