ARMTV reveals the running order for the semifinals of Depi Evratesil 2018

Armania’s National Broadcaster, ARMTV, has just revealed the running order of the two semi finals of their selection, Depi Evratesil 2018.

Each of the semi finals will feature ten acts competing for the chance to represent the country at Eurovision. A panel of music professionals helped by the public vote will determine the top five songs of each semi and  send them off to the grand final of the selection.

Depi Evratesil 2018 semi final running order

The acts competing in semi-final 1 on February 19th are:

1. Gevorg Harutyunyan – “Stand Up”
2. Angel – “Heartbeat”
3. Lusine Mardanyan – “If You Don’t Walk Me Home”
4. Zhanna Davtyan – “Unbreakable”
5. Mger Armenia – “Forever”
6. Nemra – “I’m A Liar”
7. Hayk Kasparov – “Enamórame”
8. Tamar Kaprielian – “Poison (Ari Ari)”
9. Robert Koloyan – “Get Away With Us”
10. Gata Band – “Shoga”

The acts competing in the semi final 2 on February 22nd are:

1. Maria’s Secret – “Escape”
2. Arman Mesropyan – “What You Hide”
3. Kamil Show – “Puerto Rico”
4. Suren Poghosyan – “The Voice”
5. Alternativ – “Stare At Me”
6. Amaliya Margaryan – “Waiting For the Sun”
7. Tyom – “Follow the Ocean”
8. Sevak Khanagyan – “Qami”
9. Mariam – “Fade”
10. Asmik Shiroyan – “You & I”

The grand final of Depi Evratesil will be held on the Sunday, February 25th.

Armenia at Eurovision

Since Armenia’s Eurovision debut in 2006, the Caucasian nation has become one of the contest’s most successful nations. With eleven participations so far, only once have they missed out on the grand final: Emmy’s Boom Boom in 2011. In addition, Armenia has six top ten finishes to their name. Sirusho and Aram MP3 were Armenia’s most successful representatives, finishing in 4th place with Qélé, Qélé in 2008 and Not Alone in 2014 respectively.

This year, Artsvik represented Armenia following her victory in Depi Evratesil at the end of 2016. This three-month selection contest was Armenia’s longest selection process ever and was praised by many for the high-quality production values and talent on offer. Artsvik performed Fly With Me in Kyiv and finished in 18th place, a result that surprised many.
