Tonight: Five finals and two semis with A Dal, Vidbir, Melodifestivalen and more

Tonight is a highlight of all Super Saturdays! No less than five countries will choose their entry for Lisbon tonight. After weeks, we’ll have finals in A Dal, Supernova and Vidbir. EMA and O Melodie Pentru Europa will also take place tonight. And if that’s not enough… semi-finals in Eurovizijos and of course Melodifestivalen!

🇺🇦Vidbir – Final

What: Vidbir 2018 – Final
When: 18:00-20:30 (songs) and 21:30-22:20 (results) CET

It’s taken just two semis for Ukraine to bring their potential entries down to six. The favourites all remain, with Mélovin and Tayanna leading the pack. Both jury and televoting will be in place to determine Ukraine’s entry for Lisbon. You can find the running order below:

🇲🇩O Melodie Pentru Europa

Only 28 songs were there for Moldova this year. TRM decided to scrap the semi-final and opt for a final only. Sixteen songs will be taking part and familiar faces are lining up. Felicia Dunaf, DoReDos, Doinita Gherman – They’re all there tonight. The clear favourites for tonight are DoReDos with their Kirkorov penned entry “My Lucky Day”. Below, you can see the running order:

Slovenia are sure keeping it simple this year. One semi, one final and that is it. The semi took place last week and the final will be on tonight. Two of the entrants have decided to swap their Slovenian versions for English ones. Among those are the favourites BQL. Juries and televoting will decide upon the winner. In eight previous combined voting attempts, the televoting favourite never won the eventual ticket to Eurovision. Will that change tonight?

Three semis, two acts to qualify from each one. A final of six then? No, of course not! Markus Riva has been reinstated due to a technical glitch and Sudden Lights have received an extra wildcard. It’s a final of eight, but the favourites are stable. Are we looking at a song in Latvian with Madara or will Laura Rizzotto take the crown?

🇭🇺A Dal

It’s taken them five weeks to get here, but Hungary now ready for the final of A Dal 2018. It’s going to be an all-male party with eight male acts having made it through to the final. It’s an open race, especially with the system. The jury will select the four superfinalists all by themselves, with the televoters then having a 100% say in the superfinal. It could go anywhere!

It’s the favourite national final of many fans out there: Melodifestivalen. The Swedes are introducing the last seven of their songs tonight. Two will qualify directly for the final, two will go to Andra Chansen and the other three will fly home. Can hot favourite Mariette live up to the pressure?

Who’s keeping track of the proceedings in Lithuania? Tonight is the first semi-final of Lithuania’s mammoth national final. Seven songs will take part and the sources are not yet sure who the seven are. However, the following seven seem to be lining up fro tonight:
