Waylon has now performed four of his five potential Eurovision songs. Waylon will represent The Netherlands at the 2018 contest in Lisbon. He is known for being part of 2014’s The Common Linnets who came second in the contest in Copenhagen.
Another country song for Eurovision?
While “Back Together” was a laid-back country music influenced track, his second song “Outlaw In ‘Em” packs a punch with it’s country-rock style. “The World Can Wait” is the title track of his album and upcoming tour and again shows some country influences. “That’s How She Goes” goes for a more radio friendly pop style.
The song has been chosen already
Waylon has already chosen the song, and is premiering his potential songs from his album on the talkshow De Wereld Draait Door. The five songs and their premiere date are:
- Friday, 23rd February: Back Together
- Monday, 26th February: Outlaw In Em
- Tuesday, 27th February: The World Can Wait
- Wednesday, 28th February: That’s How She Goes

The eventual choice will be made on Friday, 2nd March. That is when Waylon will reveal which of these five songs is his choice for Lisbon.
