We already have half of the songs for Eurovision 2018. While we wait to get the other half, Ryan O’Shaughnessy shared five seconds of his song he will sing for Ireland in Lisbon. Ryan was announced in January as the Irish representative for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. It was also revealed, that his entry will be called “Together”.
Ryan O’Shaughnessy – Together
Ryan previously described his song as a “kind of a power ballad” with a “gospel feel”. In the five-second video (view below), he posted on Instagram, we can see he is in the studio. In the background, you can hear Ryan singing “I thought we’d be together till we die”. It was not officially announced, that it’s his Eurovision entry, but the lyrics make it seem like it is.
About Ryan O’Shaughnessy
Ryan gained already a lot of experience in talent shows from his participation in “The Voice”, “Britain’s Got Talent” and “The Hit”. His latest album “Back To Square One” was released in 2016. He also cracked the Top 10 in Ireland and the United Kingdom with some of his releases.
Fun fact:
His uncle Gary represented Ireland back in 2001.
Let’s see, if he can top the result of his uncle. He finished third from the bottom. Even taking Ireland to the final would be a big improvement, as the last time Ireland qualified for the grand final was in 2013.
