Edward af Sillén and Daniel Réhn return to screenwrite Eurovision 2024

The writing duo return after previously working together on Eurovision 2013 and 2016

Of course, every Eurovision Song Contest is only as good as its hosting and script. With that in mind, SVT the host broadcaster of Eurovision 2024, has confirmed that the legendary duo of Edward af Sillén and Daniel Réhn will return as the screen-writing team for the Malmö contest.

Eurovision 2024 writing team announced

Over the years, the partnership of Edward af Sillén and Daniel Réhn have added penmanship to the scripts of some of the most memorable moments in Eurovision history. The duo have co-written the scripts for Eurovision 2013 and Eurovision 2016. Among the highlights of their work, includes the introduction of Sarah Dawn Finer’s iconic comedic alter ego, Lynda Woodruff in Malmö, as well as the ‘Love Love, Peace Peace’ interval act in Stockholm.

Together, they will now take on the screen-writing duties for Eurovision 2024 as the contest returns to Malmö once more. They will produce the script for the shows, as well as this, Edward has confirmed he is leading the production for the interval acts and host segments.

To have the honour of writing and directing content when Europe’s eyes are once again directed towards us in Eurovision-loving Sweden is of course a dream.
