Sennek has unveiled her Eurovision 2018 song “A Matter Of Time” a day early after a leak. She will be representing Belgium at the contest in Lisbon, having being internally selected by Flemish broadcaster VRT.
Sennek was the first artist to be announced for Eurovision 2018, way back now in September. Since then she has spoken of a ‘mysterious song’ and given plenty of hints of the music video on her Instagram account. Now we can finally hear the song she will be performing on the Lisbon stage.
“A Matter Of Time”
As promised we have a moody mysterious song, standing out as not a typical Eurovision song. Some will likely compare this to a James Bond theme song, which wouldn’t be surprising considering Sennek has before covered “Tomorrow Never Dies” performing with the name Lola.
The release of Belgium’s Eurovision entry was planned for tomorrow. Sennek was set to premiere her song on Peter van de Veire’s radio show at 06:00 CET, tomorrow morning. However, the song appeared on social media and several forums late last night. That has now caused VRT to release the song early.
During Q Music’s morning show, Sennek was asked to respond to the leak. She said she was shook when the song appeared last night. The leak supposedly originated from Russia, although the artist has no idea how the song ended up there.
She also told the listeners that she has co-composed the song herself. Alex Callier of Hooverphonic is also behind it. Sennek believes she has a chance at victory, if she manages to convey the emotions in the act.
UPDATE: Official video out
