Yesterday on 4th of March five Eurovision singers celebrated their birthday. Today however are three Eurovision ladies that have a birthday. Two of them had a great results at Eurovision. One of them was so close to winning the Eurovision Song Contest! Mika Newton, Amina Annabi and Susan Aho were born on this day.
Amina Annabi, 56
France selected the French/Tunisian artist Amina to represent them in 1991. The clearly made the right chose because her song “C’est le dernier qui a parlé qui a raison” got 146 points at the Contest. This meant that she was tied in first place with the Swedish act, performed by Carola. However the victory went to Carola, since she got more 10 points. (They had a equal amount of 12 points).
Susan Aho, 44
Finland sent the the duo Kuunkuiskaajat in 2010, Susan Aho was apart it with Johanna Virtanen. Susan is the one with the harmonica when they performed their song “Työlki ellää”. Unfortunately for them, the song did not advance to to final.
Mika Newton, 32
Ukraine selected her in 2011, to go on their behalf to Düsseldorf. Therefore she performed the song “Angel”. Not once but twice, because she made it to the final. Joining her on stage was a sand artist, Kseniya Simonova who made the act more memorable. At the final “Angel” got 159 points, which was enough to reach the 4th place.
