Launched in 2016, Israel Calling is back again for a promo show on the coast of the mediterranean sea. A big part of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest artists is set to arrive in Israel on 8 April and perform their Eurovision entry on 10 April.
A total of 25 countries have already confirmed their attendance, compared to last years 28 participants. The full list of participants will be revealed on Israel Calling’s social media channels in due course: Facebook | Instagram | Twitter
A contest named Israel is Calling You was launched earlier today on Israel Calling’s Facebook page. Eurovision fans from all over the world are invited to submit videos of themselves telling why do they want to come to Israel. The winner will get a double VIP package for Israel Calling 2018, which includes flights, hotel accommodation together with the artists and participation in all of the events, including the live show.
The Israel Calling project, initiated and produced by Tali Eshkoli, takes place thanks to the assistance and sponsorship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Jerusalem and Heritage, the Ministry of Tourism, KKL, Herzliya Municipality and Tel Aviv Municipality – the host city.
“Once again the State of Israel opens its gates and welcomes dozens of leading artists and main journalists and TV crews from European media with a big hug for an extraordinary Israeli experience. The Eurovision community all over Europe follows the event in order to see the artists perform in front of the loving Israel crowd. I am happy that we have such a wonderful opportunity to show the beauty of Israel to the artists and to celebrate Eurovision together that will promote each and every one of the artists in front of potential Israeli voters. Welcome to Israel!” , says Tali Eshkoli, the initiator and producer of Israel Calling.
