In a special segement during the central news on FYR Macedonia’s National Bradcaster, MRTV, Eye Cue premiered their Eurovision entry titled “Lost and Found”.
Eye Cue decided to change up their usual style and experiment in a slightly different genre to what they are used to. Both Marija and Bojan have previously stated that the main goal of their song is to make people feel happy, offering them an uplifting tune while remaining youthful and fun.
How did Eye Cue come to be?
MRTV received over 300 submissions to represent the country in Lisbon. Among those, a panel of music professionals felt that Eye Cue with their entry “Lost and Found” were the most competent project overall and got the golden ticket to Eurovision.
Borjan Trajkovski has written the lyrics for Eye Cue’s entry. Furthermore, Darko Dimitrov has produced the song. MRTV will reveal the song at a later date. Trajkovski is also one of the members of the Macedonian band that will now fly their flag to the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.
The production of Eye Cue’s entry “Lost and Found” falls in the hands of Eurovision veteran, Darko Dimitrov. Being no stranger to the contest, Darko already has two entries in the running for the Eurovision trophy. He’s also the producer on Serbia’s 2018 entry “Nova Deca” performed by Sanja Ilic & Balkanika.
Eye Cue get lost and found in Portugal
During an exclusive for MRTV’s Stisni Play (Press Play), Marija an Bojan give us a bit more information as to what we can expect for them in Lisbon. Briefly touching on the subject, Marija and Bojan reveal that they have already recorded their Eurovision postcard.
The brief for their little promo video is exploring Lisbon and also making their very own tiles in true Portuguese style.
Eye Cue at Eurovision
Eye Cue will represent the small Balkan nation in the upcoming edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon. They will perform “Lost and Found” in the second half of the first semi final on the 8th of May.
