Georgia to complete the field tomorrow with “Sheni Gulistvis”

The field is going to be completed tomorrow! The last country to reveal their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, Georgia, will drop their entry tomorrow. Iriao will then premiere the video for “Sheni Gulistvis”.

Official video with the song

“Sheni Gulistvis” will see its premiere tomorrow. During the Bulletin show on GPB’s first channel at 18:30 local time, the song will see daylight. That means it’ll be 15:30 CET when the song is revealed to the public.

Along with the song, we will also see the official video for the first time. Megi Gabunia has directed the video, which will feature the Iriao band members. Also featuring in the video will be the Erisioni dance ensemble. They have filmed on several locations in Georgia. Several historical landmarks in Georgia will be in the video, as well as an orphanage.

From seven to five

Iriao are a group of seven musicians, producing ethnojazz music. At least one of them would not be on stage in Lisbon, as only six artists are allowed there. The Georgians have however decided to leave two people at home. Composer David Malazonia and Nugzar Kavtaradze will both not be on stage in Lisbon.

The five that will be there are Bidzina Murgulia, Levan Abshilava, Shalva Gelekva, George Abashidze and Mikheil Javakhishvili. They will perform “Sheni Gulistvis” in both English and their native Georgian. David Malazonia and Misha Mdinaradze have composed the song. Irina Sanikidze has written the lyrics.
