On March 11th two Eurovision artist celebrated their birthday. Today are two Eurovision’s artist that have a birthday as well. One birthday girl and one birthday boy. They have a different experience at Eurovision, one of the won the show! Catchy song sometimes do the trick! The other song sadly didn’t do that well. Izhar Cohen and Rykka were born on this day!
Izhar Cohen, 67
Israel chose Izhar and the group Alphabeta in 1978 to be their representative. Izhar was a part of that group. Therefore they performed their song “Ah-Bah-Nee-Bee” at the stage in Paris, France. The song got a few sets of 12 points among with other point, which gave them 157 points in total. Which was enough to to win the show! Which didn’t go well with Lebanon, the cut of the show and the day after announced that Belgium that came second had won.
Rykka, 32
Switzerland picked Rykka in 2016 to go to Stockholm on the part. That is why she sang “The Last Of Our Kind” on the stage in the second semi final. The song however didn’t get enough support and did on make it to the final.
