Sigríður Eir Zophoniasardóttir and Jóhanna Vala Höskuldsdóttir, who are Hljómsveitin Eva (The band Eva), has played together for two and a half years.
They wrote the song “Ég sé þig” especially for Söngvakeppnin, becaus Sigga has always had a dream of participating in the contest. As all their other songs, this one is also “about something that there are no songs about”; the refugee crisis that is happening in Europe at the moment.
The song will be performed in English if it should win the ticket to Stockholm.
