Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 to take place on November 25

The EBU has just announced that the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place on Sunday the 25th November.

Minsk Arena to host once again

Along with the confirmation of the date of this year’s contest.  It has also been confirmed that Minsk Arena, will once again host the contest, after successfully doing so in 2010.
Minsk Arena, can hold up 15,000 spectators and is one of the largest venues that have ever hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Along with the date confirmation, the slogan for the contest has also been announced. It is complemented by a creative logo design based on a morning star made of vertically inverted soundwaves.
According to the story the artwork for the event:

“celebrates the artistic potential and creative drive of the young Junior Eurovision participants that will be turning the stage into something magical, like a sky full of stars.”

Jon Ola Sand also had the following to say about Belarus hosting the contest:

“We are pleased to be working with BTRC this year and we have full confidence that they will host a great show in November. This will be the 16th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and we’re sure that this year’s competition will be once again a great way for children to showcase their musical talent.”
