After winning the best band award at the Story awards, Eye Cue have decided to slowly reveal more about their Eurovision plans, the first detailed information they give us are the names of the three backing vocalists that will be accompanying them in Lisbon.
Some of the names MRTV revealed come as no surprise, especially for someone that is closely following the music scene of the Balkan country.
Meet the team
Valeri was a contestant in one of the more recent local talent shows in the country titled “Na Ista Adresa”. Debuting her first solo project in 2016, the young songstress certainly obtained a certain level of trust for the more eminent names on the music scene. Her first single “Ne ti davam” has been written by Elena Risteska (Macedonia 2006) and produced by non other than Darko Dimitrov.
Dina is probably one of the more expected picks to be Eye Cue’s backing vocalists out of the three. Not only based on her immense talent, but also due to the fact that she has been collaborating with Eye Cue for quite some time now. Dina rose to fame back in 2016 through competing in “Kasting Talent Show” and has been actively involved in multiple music projects since.
Antonija has established a name for herself by competing in the immensely popular Balkan TV show “Pinkove Zvezdice”. Her impressive vocals took her directly to the super final of the second season of the show. Interestingly enough, to make another Eurovision connection, Antonija was competing side by side with Macedonia’s Junior Eurovision representative Martija Stanojkovic.
Eye Cue at Eurovision
Eye Cue will represent the small Balkan nation in the upcoming edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon. They will perform “Lost and Found” in the second half of the first semi final on the 8th of May.
