Serbia’s Sanja Ilić and Balkanika reveal the revamped version of “Nova Deca”

Serbia’s Eurovision representatives Sanja Ilić and Balkanika premiere the final version of their entry “Nova Deca” in a televised game show on RTS.

The final version of the song features a bit faster pace. followed by a punchier and more powerful instrumental bid. The subtle changes in the production are rather unnoticeable and make the song sound more polished.

However, the performance that features the new version of the song is hardly a tease for what is yet to come in Lisbon.

Ongoing promotion

Balkanika have been touring the Balkan region for a while now, hence why their popularity gradually grows and they are well known in the neighboring countries.

In a recenter interview the band reveals that their preparations for Eurovision are in full swing and they are already ready to take over the stage.

Additionally, their main priority is to effectively showcase the musical culture of the Balkan region to a broader audience.

Winning Beovizija

Sanja Ilić and Balkanika certainly managed to come out triumphant in the revival of Serbia’s biggest festival, Beovizija. “Nova Deca” emerged as a clear favorite by winning over the juries and the viewers at home, receiving the highest marks from both.

Serbia has been allocated to perform at the first half of the second semi final at this years Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon.
