The Reviews

Laura was obviously a clear winner of Supernova, she is really talented singer. Better then the song itself. But the song is quite catchy and I belive it will reach the final. I however will not vote for it.

The Weekend meets a red nightgown and despite sounding quite random, it works. Laura nails the live performance here and gives that extra something to a rather decent entry. The rather familiar sound combined with the classy stage show truly do deliver an entry Latvia should be proud of.

Yo momma so fat, she tried to eat the monitor the second Laura’s name came on screen. Get it? Because…her name…Yo momma SO fat, she…she must eat a lot of risotto. I can go on, but they will just get worse and worse, leaving you groaning in pain and confusion. Which mimics my reaction to this song. She is trying to tell a joke, but I fear the punchline is Latvia not qualifying yet another year.

Classy and mysterious. Laura does well to pull you into the song and hold you there. Latvia here is again giving us something different ot the usual pop song, but that can be both a strength and a weakness. It’s not a bad song, but it doesn’t stand out either.

Quite a dramatic act, and I love that. These lyrics are among the best this year, heartfelt without being cheesy. I love the edginess, darkness and sophistication of the whole package, and Laura’s vocals and stage presence are great. It MUST qualify.

I've watched Eurovision for as long as I can remember, but my interest really built in 2008, after I decided to watch the semifinals online, out of boredom, before the final...I was blown away by the quality of the show and have been hooked ever since! I'm a competitive trampolinist and I love baking. I've also just completed a master's degree in Research Methods in Psychology at University College London.
